As promised here are some pictures from our final day of tironut in Jerusalem. We had a ceremony, some touring, and the torture for me of knowing that I live 10 minutes away. "JUST LET ME GO HOME!," I screamed inside. Anyway, enjoy:
Russian tourists taking our pictures.
Just a cool place in the Old City
And a cool Jewish cave in the middle of the Muslim Quarter
It was more of Yom Golani in Jerusalem than Yom Tarbut
At the Great Synagogue. I just thought this looked cool, all of us surrounding these old Torah scrolls
At the Western Wall after the ceremony. "One Brigade, One Family. Golani #1"
what a great way to end work by getting this new blog post! how does it feel to be photographed by tourists instead of laughing at those people? that jewish cave in the muslim quarter looks so cool, i want to go there (aka field trip to the muslim quarter?) and i cant believe you concealed your true identity-- ive been waiting for so long to unmask the "fearless blogger" i cant believe i will still be left in the dark....
awwww, my Bro has an admirer! How sweet. You are the man Bro. I love you a lot as does the rest of the fam. I talked to Jon Con the other day and he says hi. I'm lovin the pant legs tucked into the boot look too bro. Miss you and be safe!!!!
Hehehe, just like your bro said, it seems you have an admirer... Anyway, in the fifth picture counting from the top, the soldier with his tavor hanging in the back...well, the rifle, there's something attached to the side, it's an ammo magazine, isn't it?
Rafael - yeah a mag goes on the side with stretchy stuff. I'm thinking about making a post about it (it's not secret or anything, cause obviously we're out in public like that). It's actually something you have to earn...
anonymous - yeah, most of the guys are smaller, skinner types. But, to be fair, I'm 6'4, 210-220 pounds. so, most people are smaller than me. I'd say the average height is like 5'9 or something short like that, skinny. I am bad at judging height though.
But there are two guys in my unit who are my height and bigger. There are all types.

you're a big guy. Are most guys who serve with you smaller? What are the skinniest guys?
